Chicago Sun Times – “Randolph L. “Randy” Hopp, an Elgin library trustee banned from the library for three consecutive years based on his behavior as a patron, has been charged with domestic battery against his elderly parents.

Hopp, 59, of the 1500 block of Pamela Drive, in Elgin, is charged with two counts of domestic battery. According to documents presented in Elgin branch court Thursday, he is accused of striking his parents — both in their 80s — with a closed fist on Wednesday.”
