Baker & Taylor and Whitehots to Offer Axis 360 to Canadian Libraries

With the agreement between the two companies, public and school libraries in Canada will have the convenience of being able to order print and digital materials from a single source. Coe Named CEO at Baker & Taylor

Massachusetts, Baker & Taylor Partner on E-books

“The Massachusetts Library System and Baker & Taylor have partnered on a pilot project designed to expand access to e-books throughout the state’s libraries. In the six-month e-book project, Baker & Taylor will assist MLS in establishing a shared, statewide collection of e-books, in which an initial group of 51 participating libraries will access more than 3,000 general interest titles through Baker & Taylor’s Axis 360 digital media platform.” (via PW)

Penguin Group to Distribute eBooks to Public Libraries via Axis 360

“Baker & Taylor, the world’s largest distributor of digital and physical books and entertainment products, today announced that Penguin Group (USA) LLC’s ebooks are available to all public libraries and consortia using the Axis 360 digital media platform. In Fall 2012, two Axis 360 libraries participated in a test program circulating select Penguin Group ebooks to patrons. De Gruyter Signs 10,000 Title eBook Agreement with YBP Library Services

“De Gruyter, the international academic publishing house, announced today that it has signed an agreement with YBP Library Services (YBP), the academic division of Baker & Taylor, whereby nearly 10,000 titles from De Gruyter’s eBook program, e-dition, will be made available for purchase through GOBI3 (Global Online Bibliographic Information), YBP’s acquisition and collection management interface. De Gruyter publishes more than 850 new titles annually in medicine, the humanities, natural sciences and law, in addition to more than 600 journals and digital media publications.”

Baker & Taylor, Penguin Partner on Library eBook Pilot Program
