For those sports fans out there who use aggregators, you can now get the latest ESPN news in RSS format. They even syndicate their photo gallery. Neat. (Link via NewsIsFree)
Posted by Steven at November 22, 2003 11:21 PM | TrackBackUsers of rss have not figured out how to explain to neophyte types how to get started with rss in a simple step by step manner. All the material referred to in previous entries on this weblog and on other web links have too many steps and use computer industry jargon.
What's needed is the easy step by step how to do it template including how to do it without having to download or install anything for the rss for neophytes interested in experiencing what it's like tentatively.
As good as it is to promote it, most of the material about it has assumed too much about libraryusers, librarians, other library workers, archivists, other archives workers, records managers, other records institutions' workers knowledge of the technology. Thus promoting rss may have succeeded with a more select group than a wider group of all possible potential rss users.
Nice article
