Review of DDC of Love

Tangognat has a review of The Dewey Decimal System of Love and its not favorable:

"I did not like this book. I was holding out hope because the title was a little quirky, I thought it might be fun. But alas! It was not....Oh, well at least the book was short, so I didn't waste too much of my time reading it. I think the best part of the book was the preface, where the author gives mad props to public libraries."

The book is still on my "gonna read" list, however.

Eeeeekk. It sounds like a ghastly book!

I anonymously donate these types of books anonymously to the library within hours after reading.

I read this too when it first came out. I stopped reading about halfway through. Writing is good, pretty funny in parts, main character flipped one of my "I loathe this character trait" switches. If it wasn't for that, to me, huge character flaw, I probably would have enjoyed the book and not regretted spending my money on it.

I liked it -- it was light, a bit funny and not too serious. I hated it at first and for some reason came around partway through I have no idea why.

Ain't no disgrace to be poor - but might as well be.
