News Fan

NewsFan is a new newsreader for MacOS X. Some neat features such as:

"Find or narrowing down the headlines by words. Get the most interesting news quickly.

Ticker the news by specified keywords. This is the function for accessing the news quickly by any words. It will notify you with ticker and/or sounds when the important news arrival.

Translation automated. When open the headline in browser, it can translate to your language automatically."

I love the keyword aspect combined with the ticker. Also, the translation is key. I wish Radio would have that feature...maybe they can work with Michael on it....

Oh, and if anyone tries out News Fan and wants to post a review here, I'll be glad to give you the space.

I'm always up for working with anyone :-). And I *have* thought of integrating a translator into a newsreader, so I'm glad someone has done it.

Looking at the languages supported, I'm not quite sure what NewsFan is using. I'm on a PC, so haven't tried NewsFan out myself.

I e-mailed the people running one of my university's portals, asking them to produce RSS for the "announcements." We'll see what they reply.
