Strange Interview

Quite possibly the strangest inteview of a library employee that I have ever read. An excerpt (JL is the interviewer):

"J.L.: Do you read Harlequin Romances?

CELESTE: I do not. I have not ever read a romance.

J.L.: You’ve never read any kind of romance?

CELESTE: No.

J.L.: That’s fascinating. Do you read any women’s magazines?

CELESTE: No.

J.L.: Do you ever wonder about what people check out of the library?

CELESTE: Well I often see the titles as I’m checking things out, so I have a pretty good idea.

J.L.: I meant are there ever any weird books that make you wonder about people...

CELESTE: No, because I figure there are so many reasons why you would come to check out books. Some people are doing research and I can’t think of any book here that we would have that would raise an eyebrow."
