Dave links to Blog Post Analysis, an interesting discussion on permalinks and blog posts, by the makers of Blogstreet. They have come up with two two new services, both of which appear on the front page of Blogstreet.
1) Blog Post Search, which will search the Blogstreet database. You can search by relevance, blogrank, or date.
2) RSS Generator - Is there a blog that you love that doesn't have an RSS Feed? Give it a whirl in the RSS Generator. I threw my URL in there and it created a really good feed. I think that permalinks are necessary in order for this to work, but I could be wrong (I tried it with Findlaw News and it choked on it.) So, this is really useful for those that use blog software that doesn't generate automatic RSS Feeds. Now, blog software users have no excuse not to have an RSS Feed.

I just created feeds for a number of blogs that I've been dying to see syndicated. Couldn't have been easier. If I had three thumbs, they'd all be up. You seem to be right about the permalink thing, so I guess in lieu of evangelizing bloggers about RSS, I can just start in with permalinks. Hmm...
