Directory of Wi-Fi Hotspots

Gary links to 802.11 Hotspots, an international directory of wireless access points.

Hip Hip Hooray!! This is the perfect directory to use when I go on the road giving presentations. Also, when I am in town, I can also stop by the local Starbucks. This is a very very very cool resource. Thanks Gary.

Speaking of Wi-Fi, I am finally testing mine from outside my house. Its a fine night, and I am sitting in my backyard, having a cup of decaf, and enjoying my wireless experience. Last night I tested its strength, and I can just about get it next door. So, my neighbor and I cracked open a few beers and surfed the Web for the latest scores...

Steven,

I found a new wi-fi hotspot directory recently: The Hotspot Haven.

Have you seen this site yet? It is different from the other wi-fi hotspot directories and utilizes clickable search maps as the finding hotspots interface. They also have a cool looking directory, and let you rate hotspots on specific questions.

They only have US listings right now, but on the main page it says they are launching clickable search maps for Canada, Europe, Asia and Australia by end of November.

I just rated 4 hotspots in NYC. If everyone else rates hotspots they have been to, this could turn out to be a great resource!
