Ever care to know your Twitter Stats?
Here’s mine. Fascinating and scary.

2007 Stats

Not a full year of stats, but the numbers are in. Thanks for a great year.

45.5 Posts Per Week

December 16th, 2007

Ignore the fact that my Google Reader stats haven’t moved in months, here’s something new. I average 45.5 posts per week. I wonder what a .5 post looks like?

Stats, Stats, Stats

Flickr introduces more stats. You have to sign up for the service and the links are located on the right hand side of your pictures where all the other information is.

Thanks again for all of your clicks, links, RSS readership, and more. Blogging is fun again.

Numbers Games

October 21st, 2007

Louise Story - “[T]he Internet has given publishers a new form of ammunition: raw server data with precise numbers of site visits and page views. This data does not correlate directly to the number of visitors, but it does give them ballpark figures that they say are far more accurate than the extrapolations drawn by [...]

I Blog For Attention

October 16th, 2007

Mike Arrington - “If you find yourself in a rut and turning into one of the complainers, ask yourself if you are writing because you want attention, or because you love to write”
I started LS to force myself to keep current. Now, I continue to blog for currency/attention/marketing. I think we need to [...]

Connections and Stats

October 15th, 2007

Dave Winer - “Ultimately what matters to me is not how many people subscribe to my feed, rather how much of a connection I can make with the people I want to connect with.”

Subscribers Now Up To 2,674

October 15th, 2007

Google must be making some changes.
Update: From the Google Reader Blog - “These numbers include subscribers across all Google services, including Reader, iGoogle, and Orkut. You can see them in Reader’s feed search results (pictured below) and the Google Webmaster Tools. Additionally, our crawler reports them to the publisher each time we [...]

The Top 25

September 17th, 2007

Jennifer Pinkowski - “So who are the 25 most popular library bloggers?”
I was contacted by the author, but work and life prevented me from responding. I’m glad I didn’t. If you like a blog, read it. if you don’t, don’t. It’s a very simple concept.

Web Junction Stats

Chrystie Hill - “I’m real proud of the WJ this week because I learned that our unique visitors was well over 70,000 strong last month.”

Phil Bradley - “it gives me a chance to take a poke around at some new weblogs, which has to be a good thing.”
That seems to be the consensus, of which I wholeheartedly agree. More librar* blogs in my aggregator.

More on Rankings

September 6th, 2007

Walt Crawford (Who points out that he is not a librarian…again) - “Rankings are fun, we’re going to get “graded” whether we like it or not, and it’s also all a little silly. But fun.”
Walt - You’re a librarian. Sorry to break it to ya. MLS or not. You ARE a librarian.

Great Stats for August

September 2nd, 2007

I’m no Instapundit, but I did hit a record number of Pageviews this August. With your clicks, I (I really should say We) topped 1.1 Million! Thanks again for your continued reading.

CNET - “Internet users are spending more time looking at content and less time communicating with others, according to an index of Nielsen/Net Rating statistics released by the Online Publishers Association (OPA).” (via)

More Stats

The number of subscribers [PDF] to my feed in Google Reader. Ignore the duplicate Feed IDs and add up the rest. Of course, this doesn’t mean eyeballs, just subscribers.
Rough estimate? 3,000. Wow! Thanks.

Thanks a Million

June 1st, 2007

Taking a look at May’s stats (I check them once or twice a month), I was thrilled to see that, for the first time ever, Library Stuff had over 1 Million page views. I know, not an exact science, (and I would have to account for spammers), but I’m going to be happy anyway [...]
