SF library begins campaign to support unauthorized immigrants

“The posters went up quietly. One taped in the window of the library’s main entrance. A cluster near the circulation desk. And even more tacked in the hallways of other branches.“All are welcome,” the yellow posters said, the words translated to five languages including Spanish and Arabic. A cluster of animated figures on the sign — their skin tones black, brown, olive and white — read books, played the piano and held a camera. Within the Main Library’s walls, all are welcome to get a card, to read, to surf the Internet and participate in programs, the sign said.” (via SFGate)
