Librarian with a bullhorn: A national campaign for libraries comes to the Oncenter

“The stereotypical image of a librarian involves a man or woman with finger to lips, asking for quiet. Barbara Stripling spoke to her followers Friday with a bullhorn – not that she needed any help convincing her audience. Stripling, of Syracuse University, is national president of the American Library Association. She brought her National Declaration for the Right to Libraries to the Oncenter, where Onondaga County Public Library officials organized a signing during a conference of Central New York School Librarians.” (via syracuse.com)
