Lavery Library redefines librarian role at St. John Fisher College

Democrat & Chronicle – “Nouveau librarian Michelle Price is redefining a profession stereotyped by aging, bespectacled, bun-wearing conservatives by moving into a role some call a “library cheerleader” as part of her job at St. John Fisher College’s Lavery Library. “I don’t do any of the check out of the book stuff,” said the 31-year-old. Each semester 70,000 people come through the library’s doors — enough to fill Ralph Wilson Stadium.”
