E-Reader Boom Kindles A Variety Of New Options

NPR – “When most people think of electronic book readers, Amazon’s thin, white Kindle probably springs to mind. But that could be about to change. A cascade of e-readers will hit the market this year, taking the devices far beyond gray-scale screens with features like touch navigation and video chatting — and probably lowering prices, too.”

I have had a lot of mixed feelings about purchasing a reader and have been watching this new technology closely to see what was available

I recently purchased a Sony e-book reader. I am a medical librarian at the Ohio Department of Health. I really like it, although it does not have as much holding capacity of items as Kindle does. The touch screen is very nice… it is easy to cary… you can get into e-book loans through the library systems, as well. You can read a newspaper much easier without having to look all over the large paper to find information.
