I agree that the book shouldn’t be in the Children’s section, and depending on the content…not even the Teen section. But to ban it completely from the library is nonsense.
It is up to the parent to monitor what their children read, not up to the Library staff.

Move it to the Teen section – teens know all about sex (they know all about it by the time they get to middle school – at the latest) and they probably see more sex on network television than what they read in the book.
Also, the news report seemed biased in favor of the mom – content, word choice, tone of voice. The press is supposed to be on the first amendment’s side! I’m just sayin’…
