Google’s Ad Gadfly

Forbes – “In a research paper he and Harvard Law colleague Tyler Moore are planning to publish in the coming weeks, Edelman enumerates what he claims is the most thorough catalogue ever produced of so-called typosquatting domains–millions of empty Web sites that register misspellings of popular sites and cover them with ads. Edelman’s forthcoming paper also asserts that about three-quarters of all the ads shown on those sites are provided by Google through its AdSense for Domains program.”
