The Kindle 2 for Art and Architecture reading
March 11th, 2009Mary Louise Schumacher – “Shifting gears into pure reading mode has proven hard — and even joyless. Reading shouldn’t be such an undertaking. Recently, I decided to do something I never do. I printed out a week’s worth of articles that I’d set aside. My plan was to take this stack of reading someplace quiet, order some coffee and try to relocate my love of reading. But the sheer size of this stack, the sheer waste of it, took all of the pleasure out of this. So, I pushed the “add to cart” button and my Kindle was on its way. My goal was to find an easy way to read outside of an Internet environment and without the environment-crushing habit of printing things out.”
