‘Guitar Hero,’ ‘Mario Kart’ may be coming to Kingsport library
Kingsport Times-News Online – “What libraries are finding out in doing such offerings is teenagers are checking out materials while they are at the library. Whittaker said the program also helps break down barriers of communication between staff and teenagers and helps with literacy. “You have to be able to read, understand symbols, memorize what different things mean, and have coordination. There are a lot of literacy skills with it,†Whittaker said.”
