Ann Arbor library director shows thief she’s no pushover

December 10th, 2008

MLive.com – “Ann Arbor Library director Josie Parker is a kind woman, with a Southern accent and good manners. But don’t question her toughness. Parker ran after and tackled a thief Monday after he grabbed a collection box of money donated for the Family Book Club.”

She is a home-girl from Laurel Mississippi. I heard her give a staff day lecture here. She was frank and honest yet admitted that the public library was a “political institution”. She definitely became an ‘activist’ when it came 2 that treasury… I don’t think I could do that myself.
