@ Ivan - I agree its not the Only toll - but I would say that it also depends to the kind of market you cater to. If your customers are all tech savvy...then it does become the Only tool...</description>

@ Dan - Three years ago, I&#039;d have agreed wholeheartedly with you -- that social media is a &#039;must&#039; for information professionals. Now, I&#039;ve moderated my stand that it&#039;s not completely a must. Some people may not choose to do it, which is fine. I think there can never be 100% involvement by any single profession. What matters, I think, is how each information professional engage their customers - online or off.</description>

		<description>I agree completely.  Social media is must for public librarians, librarians (who have not completed an MLS) and library paraprofessionals.  It is the publish or perish mediam for the rest of us.</description>
