Yup.  Bloglines is basically kaput.  I looked at my blog in there and it hadn’t been updated in months (and I’m the 150th top blog).

Steve, come over to the dark side…

   Steve,

   You must be mistaken. I use Bloglines to monitor yours and many other Blogs and yours is updated daily as far as I can tell. This posting was made yesterday and I am reading it on 10/10.

   As am I. I monitor my own blog as well, and it’s rarely more than an hour before the direct feed shows up. (Feedburner takes longer, for some reason, but still less than half a day.)

   When I tried Google Reader, it simply failed to handle some blogs. Maybe it’s improved…

   I’m partial to NetNewsWire + NewsGator Online (Mac), or FeedDemon + NewsGator Online (Windows).
