New from Bloglines

“Is Google Reader still kicking Bloglines?”
I’m not aware that GR ever was “kicking” Bloglines. I don’t know of usage figures (they may be out there, but…), and GR is more opaque about per-list subscriptions (well, GR is wholly opaque, where Bloglines lets you see how many subscribers there are to various blogs).
I know my own situation, with Walt at Random:
The Feedburner feed shows 181 Google Reader and 77 Bloglines out of a total of 322–BUT my Bloglines total is 506. Since GR is much newer, I’m guessing most GR subscriptions are via Feedburner. If that’s true, then Bloglines represents much more of my audience. (The big picture? Who knows? I do full-text feeds, so the average of 1,400 page views a day doesn’t necessarily relate directly to feed numbers: There’s no compelling reason for someone to click through unless they want to comment.)
My *guess* is that more people use Bloglines–but I sure can’t prove that.
Oops. One slight correction: That’s 1,400 sessions a day; 2,500-2,600 page views. Still chump change compared to, say, Library Stuff…
