The Firm Law Library as a Business
November 28th, 2007Nina Platt - “Today law firm library directors are finding their roles changing yet again as they, like the other administers in law firms, begin operating their departments as a business.”
IMO, this is a no-brainer. How could a corporate library NOT be run as a business?

Hi Steven,
Thanks for the comment on my posting. My point was that law firms need to think of their librarians as business people who are capable of developing strategy. A no-brainer, yes, but it is a new idea for most law firm leaders to think this way. They see librarians and the library as supporting their business through research.
