LOC Collecting Blogs

Discourse.net received a note from the LOC.

How is this different from the great work of the Internet Archive?

The Library of Congress (and many other libraries and cultural institutions around the world) have been archiving more selective collections to get deeper into some themes or event-based topics (election, Sept 11, legal blogs, for instance) – Internet Archive collects broadly; our curated collections are a bit more deep and focused on particular topics. More info about our projects here: http://www.loc.gov/webcapture/ (we work closely with IA though!)
