I Blog For Attention
October 16th, 2007Mike Arrington - “If you find yourself in a rut and turning into one of the complainers, ask yourself if you are writing because you want attention, or because you love to write”
I started LS to force myself to keep current. Now, I continue to blog for currency/attention/marketing. I think we need to stop kidding ourselves on why we blog. Don’t we all like a little attention?

Interesting, as this kind of goes against http://www.librarystuff.net/2007/10/15/connections-and-stats/ . Are you leaning more towards one or the other?

Hi Jenny:
I never said that I agree with Winer. I just quoted from his post. It’s pretty much split between currency, attention, and marketing.

Interesting - I just started blogging last month, and it does make me think, WHY am I really blogging? I think part of it is to help make others aware of resources, at least in the case of my blog (http://talkingbookslibrarian.blogspot.com/)
At any rate, some good “food for thought” here!!
