Open Letter to the ALA Marketing Department

September 30th, 2007

To Whom it May Concern:

Please do not send me any more advanced copies of Library Technology Reports. While I appreciate the efforts, I don’t have time to read unsolicited material. Instead, I would request that you send the copies reserved for me to a library that can’t afford to pay the $325 annual subscription.

Thanks

Steven M. Cohen

JFYI, the price will be going down starting in 2008. It’s taken a while to implement the changes, but LTRs will be getting shorter, increasing in frequency, and costing less in an effort to be more affordable and targeted for librarians.

I’ll pass along your request, though.
