Hi. I'm Colin White and I'm in the 7th grade. I don't usually like to read much, but I love to draw. One day my mom took one of my drawings and wrote a poem to go with it. It was so funny! She liked it when I laughed, so she kept writing poems to go with the drawings I did.

This year, we published a book of her poems and my drawings called Coolhead Luke and Other Stories. It's on www.amazon.com. We've had a lot of success with it and today we're doing a reading at Barnes & Noble. All the kids who read the book say they think it's really funny. My mom made sure it was challenging also, with hard vocabulary words and she put a glossary and teacher's guide in the back. But, most kids just think it's funny.

I think all kids from 8 to 12 would really like Coolhead Luke. We have a blog too. It's at http://coolheadluke.wordpress.com

We hope you read our book.
