ATM Machine

September 26th, 2007

Scott Vine - “So whilst it is fine to say ISB Number or just ISBN, saying ISBN Number actually means you’re repeating yourself and saying International Standard Book Number Number - there is no such thing, it’s like saying telephone number number.”

Right on. I’m picky like that too. Remember folks, it’s not “Web 2.oh”. It’s “Web 2.zero”

Hey Scott, can you fix your permalinks? They don’t seem to be working. Could just be me though.

  1. walt crawford UNITED STATES Windows XP Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.7 Says:

I disagree. It’s web two point oh if people choose to say it that way. The number that’s one less than one has been pronounced “oh” far too often and in too many circumstances to say it’s suddenly wrong.

  2. RCN UNITED STATES Windows XP Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.1 Says:

I agree with Walt! For example, how do you say the year 1904? “Nineteen zero four?”

On the other hand, I’m picky about “PIN,” which, as PIN Number, is redundant.
