Please Don’t Tell Me That This is Accurate

Jason Malone – “[L]ibrary staff in the computer room, from their staff desk computers, can see the text of any private, personal email a person there is writing, or their private information if they are paying a bill on-line on the computer, or if they are emailing a newspaper a criticism of the library director, etc…”

The library in question is the Lakewood Public Library in Lakewood Ohio.

Sounds to me like someone got caught playing video games after being told not to, and decided to attack the messenger. I somehow doubt the computers are remotely monitored.

Well, they probably could if the right software was installed. The tech staff at our school can monitor workstations. The question is, do they?

Nothing on the internet is EVER private.

“Angry, smug, weird dwarf Warren….” Oh yes, definitely written by an impartial observer? I wonder if this guy got caught porninating. We used to catch those guys by other patron complaints who could see their screen, not high tech spying.
