Equal / Not Equal
September 18th, 2007This is good news - “The Senate passed legislation Tuesday night that would require equal health insurance coverage for mental and physical illnesses when policies cover both. The bill, which passed by unanimous consent, moves advocates one step closer in their quest for a concept known as mental health parity”
This is not - “Maryland’s highest court Tuesday rejected same-sex marriage and upheld the state’s 34-year-old statute defining marriage as a union between a man and a woman.”
One step forward, two steps back.
