    Wow, On the Road at 50! Interesting of course that the events of the book took place in ‘49 or so and I *believe* it was actually written long before its publication, in the early ’50s.

    Very influential book for me personally, and one of the most exciting and strange and wonderfully written pieces of literature I’ve ever come across. Kerouac’s other work pales in comparison, I have to say, with the important exception of Dharma Bums.
