I’m just glad the release date is after AALL. Imagine what a disaster that would’ve been if we were all roaming the convention hall with our noses stuck in books!

Just a question–are libraries taking holds for the newest HP title? One of our staff members wants to make the book unholdable at this late date, even though we’ve been telling patrons to place holds.
What are your ideas?

Deb, my public library has a nifty idea. They have two new book collections–the usual one that you can reserve and a Here & Now collection which can’t be reserved but is first-come-first- gets-it when it shows up on the shelves. GREAT idea since people who were number 84 on the reserve list hated the long wait. This way they have a shot at getting the new book they want if it shows up on the H&N collection shelves.
