“RSS Events” at ALA Conferences

June 9th, 2007

This excited me until I saw the courses. Only one related to RSS (the one being taught by Michael Stephens).

If you’re going to call it an “RSS Event”, make sure it’s about RSS. Oy Vey ALA (hey, that rhymes, someone should make a T-shirt with that on it).

Update: RSS apparently stands for something else. Too funny! Thanks Andrew

The ALA event is referring to the sponsoring section, Reference Services Section. RSS is part of Reference and User Advisory Association (aka RUSA). Gotta love ALA’s alphabet soup…

Oh how funny is that!! Thanks Andrew.
