		<description>VHS vs Beta anyone? Seems to me that libraries, like Yahoo are the finer product but don&#039;t quite have the brand recognition.

We need some of those marketing people that I used to think were silly and useless; market a library like it is a consumer product. It&#039;s so obvious we&#039;ve missed it for years.</description>

Hmmm.  Google excels at selling ads and is a success in that respect.  Yahoo&#039;s portals get 2.5 times the traffic of Google.  I&#039;d call that a success.  Now if Yahoo got better at ads or allied with Microsoft as rumoured for ad sales maybe things will change on the revenue front.  I&#039;d say librarians would be better watching Yahoo&#039;s portal strategy aimed at end users than copying Google&#039;s strategy aimed at delighting advertisers.
