Do You Zuula? How about Mahalo

May 30th, 2007

I haven’t been much impressed with new search engines lately (heck even the “oldies” aren’t that great), but Zuula looks quite useful. If anything, it’s a decent way to compare results from across the board. I added it as my default FireFox search. We’ll see. (via)

Also, the Financial Times has a piece on http://www.mahalo.coml”>Mahalo, a human indexed search engine. Whoa!!! Humans Rock! Well, kinda. No page for library? Doh!

Mahalo: It’s 1995 all over again. :-)

    I like Zuula - thanks!

I tried Zuula a few months back, but I wasn’t at all impressed with it. I found that TurboScout over at http://www.turboscout.com/ and Trovando at http://www.trovando.it/ did the same sort of thing, only better, with more search engines, and with a nicer layout. If you’ve not looked at them, take a peek, see what you think.

As for Mahalo… it doesn’t exactly rock does it? Deeply unimpressive.

    Don’t forget about ChaCha.

I finally took a good hard look at the screencaptures of a co-browsing session and the results were quite laughable.
