   I’ve found that, lately, a lot of local bands and comedians use MySpace, both for networking and for promoting their own gigs and recordings, and therefore there’s often a MySpace or Blogspot URL on their promotional posters.

   I also find that in public libraries, it’s often easier to set up a blog yourself, using something like blogspot, than to try and get IT to set it up for you on the organisation’s site. God forbid that IT would let “only a librarian” have access to edit their own websites! *gasp*

   I try to put the blog on everything that the public sees.

   Our IT person is great–he is a library staff member, so we don’t have a lot of the politics that other systems have.
