More on Depression/Anxiety

April 28th, 2007

From Robert Scoble (quickly becoming one of my online heroes, very honest, true, and open), who links to Anxious Thoughts (anxiety and depression in a world of technology…)

I’m seeing so much online about this topic. Very scary. Talk to your network of friends about anxiety and depression. Get help. Please. You’re not alone.

Steven – thank you for continuing to speak out about depression and anxiety. Removing the stigma of mental illness is so incredibly important and we need to talk about it more within the LIS community, especially as technology moves ever faster and our jobs get ever more stressful.

You’ve inspired me to be more open about my illness (incredibly severe…yay for meds!). I’ve always been open about it but I’ve never been forthcoming. That’s going to change.

    mad props to you!
    Laura
