Very sad! I was a huge fan of his book on America in the 50s and the TV series of the same. A wonderful writer.

i think that it is sad that he died. people think that car crashes arnt that deadly but they are worse than alcohol or most drugs. i am a victim of a car crash due to an idiot who was drunk. i have not fully recoverd but i just wish that David Halsberstam was as lucky as me and then he mite of survived.
