The library weblog dedicated to resources for keeping current and professional development

Joomla in Libraries

February 12th, 2007

I love this. A web site built around a presentation for the upcoming CIL 2007. And very useful too.

Here you’ll find step-by-step tutorials, library-focused templates, extensions, and a community of support to get your website off the ground and running quickly and smoothly”

According to this Flickr pic, the site was created by “the SC State Library web administrator Tao Gao”.

Thhanks for posting this. The website is still a work-in-progress. But I will keep it going and hope it would eventually become a really useful resource and communication forum for libraries interested in using Joomla as their website platform. Interestingly, I have met quiet a few people using Joomla for their library websites through the site. The site was also discovered by the official Joomla.org and they have bookmarked CIL 2007 in their event forum.
