The library weblog dedicated to resources for keeping current and professional development

Confabb

November 13th, 2006

You know how we spend so much time trying to organize all the data flowing through the conferences we attend?

Welcome to Confabb, a new startup created by my former boss Salim Ismail and my old colleague Jon Mandell, both from PubSub. There’s a bunch of other people involved too. :-)

Basically, it’s a conference portal bonanza, built with the users as the drivers of content. The organizers, of course, can add their data, but the real stuff will more likely come from the attendees.

And, it’s got all the bells and whistles we expect about of a 2.0 site. RSS, tags, Flickr, etc.

Very well done. Librarians, go forth and create content for your conferences…
