Scarlet Begonias

I was singing Ari to sleep last night. After fubbing the lyrics to Scarlet Begonias, I decided to take a look at David Dodd’s book (which sits on my nighttable for easy access). What a beautuful poem. I love these lines:

“I ain’t often right
but I’ve never been wrong
It seldom turns out the way
it does in the song
Once in a while
you get shown the light
in the strangest of places
if you look at it right”

Amazing things are happening to me. For the 3rd time in my life, I’m falling in love. I love you Ari.
