Andrew K. Pace, who I adore almost as much as Aggie, will soon be blogging. According to this press release from ALA:

“Andrew K. Pace, who writes the popular “Technically Speaking” column in each issue of American Libraries magazine, is launching the Hectic Pace technology blog in conjunction with the Annual Conference in New Orleans.”

I’m quoted in the press release from a post I made back in February, which is nice.

Just one little quibble, if I may. Don’t put out a press release and link to a blog that is already live, but has default filler content. The screenshot to the right is what the blog looks like today, the date of the press release. :-) I would have loved to see a welcome message from Andrew and not:

“Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Vestibulum iaculis, eros semper egestas posuere, sapien magna vehicula velit, eget imperdiet mauris nulla sed elit.”

OK, one more Quibble. They have a link on the bottom of the blog that says, “What is RSS”, and they link to this post from Jan, 2004, which explains (not sure it’s correct), the history of RSS and not how to use it. I’ve used the link to the LII tutorial, which is much much better, IMO.

In any event, I’m thrilled that Andrew is blogging. it’s about time, really.
