The Literature List…More Coming

May 30th, 2006

You may or may not know that I’m a closet litblog fan. For me, these blogs are the best places to find books other than those written about in the NYTBR. This is one of the reasons why I’m excited to announce that the latest entry in the PubSub Community Lists project is Literature Blogs.

We’ve teamed up with the folk at MetaxuCafe (a popular litblog network – and one of the projects of Bud Parr, the proprietor of one of my favorite litblogs, Chekhov’s Misstress) to help maintain the list.

As always, this list has automatically been included in the slowly growing Reading Lists which Dave Winer so gratiously houses.

This is the part of OPML in action that I really love. Everytime we add a new list, it goes into this OPML URL. Anyone who is using that OPML to do really cool stuff (and please let me know if you are using it so I can help promote your app) will automatically see the new list. Also, if we’ve added any new blogs, they will automatically appear. Isn’t that amazing? OK, maybe I’m easily excited, but I really think that this is very big for the syndication community.

Also, we will be releasing 5 more lists over the next 5 weeks. I hope you have an “appetite” for more lists, because you’ll “eat up” what we’re putting out next Monday. ;-)
