Access Remote Documents with Maxthon

March 20th, 2006

If you’re a Maxthon junkie like me (there are so many cool options with this browser that I am in customization heaven), you’ll be thrilled to note a new feature called Maxthon Access, which allows one to access any computer remotely through Maxthon:

“Imagine having every file on any of your computers available to you at any time -even if your computer is down the hall or around the world. Want to edit that contract? Want to look at the latest sales report? If it’s on your computer, and your computer is connected to the Internet, simply log on to Maxthon Access through the Maxthon browser from any remote internet-connected computer. Then select which computer to browse, and navigate to the file you need. No waiting for email transfers since you are directly linking to your computer. You will never have to worry about forgetting a file again.”

Wow. I’ve signed up and it seems to work flawlessly. I’m going to set up all of my computers at home with this and run Access on them all day. Now, I can get a hold of all of my files…and play some games that we set up Hallie with on her new computer.

If you like Maxthon, you can follow along with the development on their blog.
