CIL 2006 Program Out

December 9th, 2005

Looking through the advanced program [PDF] for CIL 2006, I was excited to see many new presenters and not the same people doing the same talks (that includes me, BTW). This could be due to the PLA/CIL cross-conferencing issue (which I’m still sad about) or that the new blood that was desparately needed was found. The track that I helped put together (moderated by Michael Stephens) on Communities and Collaboration has all new (or semi-new) faces to CIL.

A huge thumbs-up to Jane Dysart for her continued efforts on keeping these conferences fresh (although 3 keynotes from Lee Rainie in 2 years - twice at Internet Librarian and once at CIL - may be a bit much, but that’s coming from someone who attends most of the ITI events - It’s good to have the east coast crowd see Lee speak) and always cutting edge.

I will be doing a pre-conference workshop, probably scarf down lunch, then grab the Acela northward to PLA, where I’ll be blogging the heck out of it for…well…PLA. (link via Beyond the Job)
