Update on a Few Librarian Memes
November 27th, 2005I’m loving the recent librarian-type/2.0 memes going on. I also hope that they continue to thrive.
First, the Blogging Librarians page on Frappr currently has 172 members. Ivan Chew mentions that he’s like to see more library bloggers from Asia on the map. I agree. The ever poignant Chew writes:
“Size doesn’t matter in the Blogosphere. It’s what you blog about that does.”
Second, the Librarian Trading Cards group on Flickr currently has 101 members and 99 cards (although not 99 unique librarian cards).
What I love about these two groups is that anyone can participate and librarians from all over the world are. My hope is that we can use tools like this to network with each other, share resources and stories, and become closer, even though our physical boundaries can’t.
