No More GD Soundboards on Internet Archive
November 27th, 2005I listen to a Grateful Dead show every day, and my usual stop in the morning is the Internet Archive to grab my pick. Well, according to Boing Boing, the IA has had to trim down the collection to non-soundboard shows. What was once the biggest online collection of GD music history is now (while still large in quantity) a slimmed down version with only audience taped shows available. Sad.
More from the Archive forums.
While on a music-related blog post, I recently saw a regional-based bluegrass band called Hot Day at The Zoo play at a local library in Lowell, Mass. I was on my 4th glass of wine by the time they finished their set and had an amazing conversation with the band members during a quick break. They took a request from me (Mama Tried - they almost nailed it) and I left with a CD in hand (listened to it 4 times on my drive back to NY) and my mind cleansed. Thanks for a memorable night guys.
