A Note About Reviews
November 26th, 2005As I shift Library Stuff in another direction, I’m going to attempt to review at least one “Web 2.0″ tool every weekday. I’ve actually been doing just that over the past few weeks, and have had a blast playing with this stuff and then writing about it. I’m still going to mention blog/RSS/wiki initiatives in libraries and how they effect the library profession, but I think that it’s also very important to move away from librarianship and talk about these new tools in a general sense and how they may be useful for everyone, not just librarians.
Staying locked in the comfortable and insular discussion about librarianship may be fine for others, but not me. It’s hard to build a community if its inhabitants are created from the same mold.
