Yet another book cataloging and recommendation tool, in the very beginning stages of development. The creator seems to be putting an emphasis on the recommendation part:

“This page was born in recognition of an addiction that myself and many people I know share – an addiction to reading. Too often have I wanted to suggest a book to a friend, or had a friend tell me about some book that I have to read… Too often have these suggestions not been acted upon and forgotten. Chainreading aims to solve that. At Chainreading you can suggest books to friends, even if they don’t have an account, and your suggestions will be added to a list that only they can see when they log in to the site. Once the book has been read the book can be moved to a publicly viewable recommendations list if you like it, or simply deleted if you don’t.”

There is no development blog available, so I can’t/won’t report on any updates. On another note, my favorite book cataloging tool Library Thing, was featured in the Christian Science Monitor today. Congrats Tim.
