Librarian Community List (Update)
November 8th, 2005The community lists have been receiving a good deal of attention in the blog world and the comments that have surfaced have been very useful (I’ll be sure to bring all of them back to the office for discussion). Thanks!
I’ve also received numerous e-mails from librarians to add their blogs to the list, which I’ll be getting to over the next few days. One side effect of these lists is that we are finding blogs in certain communities that we have never seen before, (75% of the blogs that were sent in for the librarian list were new to me). That makes the human aspect of these lists really powerful.
Building and sustaining communities (online and off) has been one of my passions lately (stay tuned for more on this, fingers crossed CH!) and these lists really help in not only doing that (the building and sustaining part, as well as the passion part), but they will hopefully grow into more lists down the road.
