SuprGlu to the Rescue?
November 5th, 2005These “collect a bunch of feeds and display them on page” tools are all the rage these days (see KickRSS, etc). Aggie sent me SuprGlu the other day. Sign up for free (of course), throw in as many feeds as you want (it helps out a bit by asking usernames for popular services) and a nice looking blog-type page is created.
A few issues that could be addressed:
1) No RSS Feed for the entire site? I thought this was a no brainer for the 2.0 stuff.
2) My Library Stuff feed is not showing up in full-text, even though I publish it that way. I wonder why?
3) No OPML output. Again, I think this should be a no brainer for 2.0 stuff.
What I love about SuprGlu is that if I want to point users to anything that I write (well, I share the PLABlog wih Andrea Mercado, so some of the content is hers), tag, or shoot with my camera, it’s now in one place. Plus, the templates that are created are nifty looking (ease of use is very important). Last, follow the development of SuprGlu on their blog.
How can libraries use this tool? Think personalized catalog content for each user. I’ve added my Library Thing feed to the mix as well.
